Making an Executable Job

To execute a job, you need to turn it into an executable. You do that by using the mouse to draw a box around your job on the screen. Position the mouse, press the left mouse button, drag the mouse to the opposite corner, then release the button.

The job will disappear and be replaced with a four-pointed Star shape, with the default name of “Untitled”. If you draw a box around the Star, it will disappear and restore your job for editing.

Three things can be done with a Star, at the “Basic” level. First, it can be executed. That is described on the next page. Second, it can be renamed, by left-clicking inside it and typing in a new name. Third, you can drag the Star to the Shelf, where it will be stored for future use. At a later time, you can drag it back to the Desktop for further work.
