Statistics
Statistics computes the mean and standard deviation of each band of the image, for the whole image or inside a “window”, and shows the results, with the minimum and maximum, in a separate window. The image is passed on unchanged to any module connected after it.
Writing a calibration file
Statistics also creates the calibration files that ReadImage and ReadStack use:
- Read the images with ReadStack, with its “calibration” flag unchecked, and connect it to Statistics.
- Enter a window inside the white calibration target, in ReadStack or in Statistics.
- Check calibration in Statistics. Check verbose to be told where the file is written.
The file is written in the folder that holds the images, and overwrites any calibration file already there. Calibration works only with single-band images. For the full steps, see Generate Cal File.
