<WRAP half column>The “inspect” mode has no inputs. It will output a three-band image with one pixel in 24 scanlines. The three bands are the internal X, Y, Z values. The 24 scanlines are the 24 patches of the color chart.

The “record” mode has one input. It reads in the X, Y, Z values for the color chart that was used, and saves them for future use. The input image is the same format as the output image from the “inspect” mode.

The “inspect” mode and the ”record” mode are the methods to check and install the XYZ values needed for the color chart being used.
